Welcome

I'm Jessica, wife, mom and photographer. This is my personal blog where I'll talk about my life, my children, photography, and my upcoming journey of being a surrogate mother. I'm a little scatterbrained when it comes to writing so hopefully I wont confuse everyone who's reading!

Grandpa Paul's sweet tea. No one makes it quite like he does. One of the many reasons I look forward to Sunday dinners at my grandparents house<3

I was going to make a list of the equipment I use and their different specs with pictures.... but that's pretty time consuming, and listing what I have will not help you in your photography needs in any way! So with that, I will mention that I am a obsessive Nikononian. I LOVE the brand and the product, it has yet to fail me!

My camera body is a Nikon D90 DSLR.
Lenses are the KIT lens (Zoom) AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR (5.8x) and the (Prime/Fixed) AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D.
Flash is a SB-600, but I haven't quite gotten the full hang of it yet!

What I do want to mention is Clickin' Moms. I have grown to love a lot of wonderful women (and the occasional guy!) in there. If you're even the tiniest bit interested in learning more about photography, it is THE place to go! There is an endless amount of wonderful information in the forums. Everyone is very helpful and the inspiration is phenomenal! Aside from taking the time to learn what I know from practice and from the few patient photogs who have helped me along the way, everyone in Clickin' Moms have helped me and inspired me more than I can imagine.

During my sessions, I found that it was VERY difficult to carry around my camera, lenses, accessories, ya know everything! I searched and searched for a bag that wasn't ugly, has functionality during shoots and could hold exactly what I needed and be right at my finger tips when I needed it. I found two great bags that fit my needs.

The one I ended up purchasing was the Janine King Deluxe DSLR Messenger Bag. I'm able to fit everything I need in it. It keeps my camera safe, it fits my body great, and it's pretty! I LOVE it!

The one on my wish list is the Snugglens Messenger Style Bags. There are quite a few choices and each of them can be completely customized! I still have a hard time deciding which one I want! When I do purchase one, I will update and give my review. They're beautiful bags, and the fact that you can customize them is a BIG TIME plus for me!
